Why do I?

I came across this picture.
It contains a musical error making me think it was posed by actors.  I decided to email the organisation concerned in no uncertain terms pointing out their stupidity.  Why did I  feel it necessary to do that? Well I can only imagine that I am wired up to point out the speck in somebody else's eye whilst not seeing the plank in my own.

Stupidly, I emailed from school so my views are construed as coming from school.  I have emailed an apology and await tomorrow with some quaking in my boots.

Mrs TS think I am right to think the photo was posed.  Oboes are not held that way.

I'm waiting for it all to blow over. No pun intended.

EDIT

A friend of mine has discovered that there was a gallery of photos on the website in which a group of oboists were holding their instruments like flutes; this did look funny as they were all doing it.  Similarly there were photos of groups of other instrumentalists having 'fun'.  What the bloke who created this photo has done is to photoshop several different people together thus taking them out of context.  I cannot think why they believe this is acceptable because the original 'fun' has become confused and the message is bad. Still, they will not admit it.

Eh?

Mrs TS celebrates her birthday today.  One gift was a lamp which had these instructions; I post them for your amusement.
Kleek tu Henlardge.
All very clear

A virgin no more

That got your attention, didn't it?

Today has been a landmark and red letter day.

I was in school sorting out my keyboard room and shifting stuff about when 11.00 approached. I needed coffee so I made a cup.  I wanted a biscuit as I was peckish; I didn't have any.  I went on the scrounge to my mates in the kitchen but all they could offer was a fig roll.

A fig roll has never passed my lips or been anywhere near them in 51 years.  I was hungry so I accepted the offer despite the fact they were Best Before July 2010; the kitchen was bare pending a delivery and it was all they had (so they said!). The pupils come back on Thursday.

It was nice, I liked it. I went out later and bought a packet.

I felt like Adam in the Garden of Eden, or like Pandora with the opened box.  The genie can never go back in the lamp.

Recent News

I'm liking the new blogger interface although I find the cursor doesn't move when I hit Return/Enter.  If I hit the down cursor key the cursor then jumps to where it ought to be.

I've started a new blog which WILL stay this time. Take a look, but it's more a record for my own use I suppose.
