I came across this picture.
It contains a musical error making me think it was posed by actors. I decided to email the organisation concerned in no uncertain terms pointing out their stupidity. Why did I feel it necessary to do that? Well I can only imagine that I am wired up to point out the speck in somebody else's eye whilst not seeing the plank in my own.
Stupidly, I emailed from school so my views are construed as coming from school. I have emailed an apology and await tomorrow with some quaking in my boots.
Mrs TS think I am right to think the photo was posed. Oboes are not held that way.
I'm waiting for it all to blow over. No pun intended.
A friend of mine has discovered that there was a gallery of photos on the website in which a group of oboists were holding their instruments like flutes; this did look funny as they were all doing it. Similarly there were photos of groups of other instrumentalists having 'fun'. What the bloke who created this photo has done is to photoshop several different people together thus taking them out of context. I cannot think why they believe this is acceptable because the original 'fun' has become confused and the message is bad. Still, they will not admit it.
