I was called today by a more senior chap from Eon who listened to my concerns. Direct Debit is going down to £78 (from £86) and he has ordered me a free energy monitor.
He also said that it is possible to change one's direct debit online if one builds up credit; I didn't know that.
He agreed that his staff need a degree of retraining.
