Sorry TS, I tend to think the whole world is as old as I am. Clochemerle (a wonderful book was turned into a Galton and Simpson comedy in the early 70's. An acquired taste, but very much to my taste, it was superbly acted and the characters were brought to life brilliantly (in my opinion). I can only describe it as a sort of French Under Milk Wood. The band was ghastly, always out of tune and extremely funny.
