What a Cheek!

I had a phone call from Tiscali today (even that is suspicious since they do not exist any more, having been taken over by Talk Talk).

"We'd like to offer you the next 3 months broadband subscription at half price as a reward for your loyal membership..."

PAUSE

"...providing you agree to stay with us for the next 18 months".

I was able to explain to this man that it was far from a good time to ask me to stay with Talk Talk given that my email is not getting through. Sadly he was too thick to understand; he started to patronise me by saying that when something is being migrated it has to be shut down. "There isn't a problem" he kept saying. I had to differ.

Not even spam

Where is all my email? Well not all of it, as I am getting messages posted since Wednesday. However, I am expecting several emails which have not arrived and must have been sent before last Wednesday. Added to that I am getting no spam whatsoever at the address which usually attracts 56 spam emails a day (I'm gradually phasing it out).

Although I use Outlook I often read my mail elsewhere on my laptop by logging into web mail with Talk Talk (which was Tiscali).  There was a message last week saying some customers would have mail delayed.

Now, the red message above is emblazoned on the log in page.  What makes them think I can wait until 31st October to get all my email?

Were it not for the fact that I have a website on their web space (which has been moved twice) and that I'd need to change log in details with banks etc. I think I'd move away from these beastly people.  But would it be out of the frying pan into the fire?
 

Calls

Tenon mansions is being bothered by cold calls from a company claiming to be able to follow up badly sold PPI.

I looked them up on http://whocallsme.com/ and they are clearly a nuisance.

Coming back soon

I hope to blog soon but this post is just a celebration of the fact that I now have 100 friends on Facebook.

I had 99 a while back then it dropped to 98.  This is the first time I have reached the magic 100.

One of my friends has 541 'friends'.  That's showing off.

Poorly

Suffice it to say I have had Delhi Belly and have not been well.

In an attempt to feel better I had a bath and thought I would trim the moustache. I messed up big time on one side so the whole thing has been removed. I know of one reader who is pleased.

Mrs TS has not yet noticed the lack of facial hair. What does that tell you?

No time for a long post

Over at Crystal Jigsaw, Amy has played a piece on the piano. Having no original ideas of my own, I thought I'd do the same. I've written a short 'Lullaby' which I may use at school with my Pre-Grade 1 pianists.
